The content is free and for personal use
Everything we publish (text, photographs, maps, recommendations) is free to read and meant for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You’re welcome to bookmark it, print a page for your trip, or send a link to a friend. That’s exactly why we made it.
You can’t republish or sell our work
You may not copy, reproduce, sell, license, or distribute substantial parts of the site for commercial purposes without our written permission. That includes scraping the site to train AI models, reposting entire guides on your own blog, or turning our content into a paid product. If you’re not sure whether your use is fair, just email us—we’re friendly and usually say yes to reasonable requests.
We link to other people’s booking pages
Whenever we recommend a treehouse, capsule hotel, houseboat, or any accommodation, the booking happens directly on the property’s own website or on well-known booking platforms. We sometimes earn a small commission if you book through those links, at no extra cost to you. The contract, payment, cancellation policy, and everything else is between you and that provider, not with us. We always try to point you to places with decent cancellation terms, but we can’t be responsible if they change their rules or if the weather ruins your plans.
Accuracy and opinions
We do our absolute best to keep information accurate and up-to-date, but prices change, buses get rerouted, and sometimes a cozy guesthouse gets new owners who paint everything pink. The recommendations reflect our honest personal experience and opinion at the time of writing or visiting. Travel involves risk and common sense—please double-check important details yourself.
Digital products (if we ever sell any)
If we offer a paid download (checklist, map pack, e-book, etc.), the sale is final once you receive the file, except for the 14-day refund window clearly stated on the product page and in our separate Refund Policy.
Liability is limited
We’re travelers, not a bank or insurance company. To the fullest extent allowed by law, BD Travel Homes LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from following our suggestions. Our total liability will never exceed the amount you actually paid us (which is usually zero).
We can change or remove content
We reserve the right to edit, update, or delete any content at any time, for any reason, without notice. If a treehouse burns down or a border closes, we’ll try to update fast, but we can’t guarantee real-time perfection.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States. If we ever have a serious disagreement (highly unlikely), we both agree to handle it in the courts of Lafayette Parish.
